August 2023
25 sheets of paper, oil pastel
Divided into 5 cardboard folders
Size 30 x 40 cm

While working on Crosswork VII, I used sketch sheets for finding the right blends of the hundreds of colours and cleaning the pastel crayons. Although the colours ended up on the sheets through my actions, there is no conscious creation. The works were created, as it were, by just my hands. The unconscious genesis and surprising beauty bring to mind secret, unexplored gardens. From this image, I provided the work with a cardboard casing, which needs to be unfolded to view the sheets.
